Have you Seen this Van?
It has been a few months since I have last seen her. Sure, I did run away to Buenos Aires for a while to study, but that was only temporary… and now, nothing; gone, disappeared without a trace.
Not even calling to say goodbye or leaving a note! When I had returned from my studies, the first place I went was to see her. I walked slowly to the corner of Pío Nono and Dardignac in Barrio Bellavista, anticipation rising, expecting to see one of my all-time favorite sights of Santiago, but all that I found was an empty sidewalk.
I remember the long winter nights and the frequent visits to this spot for a little something sweet. For months I had been coming to visit, under the illumination of the streetlight, her sweet scent perfuming the air. Killing time with a little bit of small-talk as strangers stroll by, until finally, I was given what I came for.
Though I was under the impression she would wait and be here when I got back, I knew in the back of my mind that something like this would happen. She had always been very popular with other customers and I supposed she has run off to the beach or to a place where a little more business can be found.
Anyways, if anyone has seen the white churro van that had frequented barrio bellavista, leave a comment and let us know where those delicious churros can be found!
